The mission of the Sun City Home Owners Association is:
To assist members of HOA with problems they bring to our attention concerning their homes and grounds.
To serve as advocate for Sun City residents with county and state officials on matters affecting all residents.
In the absence of a recognized political entity, to represent Sun City as a community in political and intergovernmental activities in the West Valley, and to earn the respect of leaders there.
To create and/or support programs which benefit the entire community, especially in the matters of safety, security, quality of life and property values.
To generate sufficient income to carry out and support HOA programs.
SUN CITY'S ADVOCATE
HOA is Sun City's only active representative of the community's interests in these fields:
* Building codes
* HUD regulations
* Property values
* Public transportation
* Senior Citizen Overlay requirements
* Street maintenance
* Traffic safety
* Water, air and noise pollution
* Water rights
* Zoning ordinances
We need your help! After four decades, Sun City is still the premier retirement community in the country. But it takes effort on the part of its residents to keep it that way. Here's what you can do:
Be a member of HOA. As a resident of Sun City, you are not automatically a member of HOA. You need to come to the HOA office and apply. The annual fee per person makes it possible to provide all the services shown on these pages.
Serve on an HOA committee. HOA fulfills its responsibilities through the work of its various committees. We suggest you sit in on an HOA Board meeting to listen to committee reports, and see where you might fit in.
Be our eyes and ears. With our small staff we can't spend our time looking for violations of the federal, county and local restrictions. But you can help by letting us know when you see something that doesn't live up to your interpretation of Sun City standards.
