Free radio reading service to the print disabled. Available to anyone who is blind, elderly or physically disabled and cannot read the printed page. Persons receive a radio receiver, on loan, for as long as needed. Service provides the reading of newspapers, magazines, books, short stories, grocery and department store ads, information for the handicapped, as well as special interview shows. There are programs for the Spanish-speaking listeners. Program schedules are provided in large print, Braille or cassette. Service broadcasts 24 hours daily.

A local all volunteer group produces tape-recorded community news and recreational material for Sun City area residents unable to read print. This service is rendered without cost to the users. We depend on funds contributed by individuals, clubs and businesses. Contributions are tax-deductible.
Hours: Tues., Wed., Thurs. 9:00 A.M. to 12 Noon, 1:00 PM. to 4:00 PM.

RECORDING FOR THE BLIND, INC.

A non-profit organization providing free recorded textbooks for blind or print handicapped students from elementary through post graduate college levels. Books recorded include medicine, chemistry, mathematics, electronics, biology, economics, accounting, engineering, languages, etc. We depend entirely on the community for financial and volunteer support.
Hours: Mon-Thurs. 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Fri. 8:00 A.M. to 12 Noon

Provides books and magazines on records, cassettes and Braille through the mail to persons who cannot read normal print due to visual or physical impairment. All services, including playback equipment and postage, are provided without charge.

Designed to meet the needs of low vision and blind residents. Services include professional counseling, both individual and group, as well as rehabilitation training and orientation and mobility. Crafts, entertainment and educational activities are an integral part of the program under the sponsorship of the Sun Cities Area Community Council.
Meetings are held on Monday and Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 PM. at the Olive Branch Senior Center, 10765 Peoria Avenue, Sun City.
